Capt. Greg Hatem joins the Waterhorse Charters team as a Captain, Divemaster and General Manager. Capt. Greg is a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer who owns ScubaDive4fun.com. In addition to private SCUBA classes he has taught High School students for 5 years. He has certified hundreds of students as young as 10 years old. He is also an Emergency First Response® Instructor and teaches First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillators (AED).
Over the past few years Capt. Greg has participated in several marine expeditions in Cabo Pulmo and Bahia de Los Angeles in southern Baja. The focus of the work was in three specific features of the local ecology: whale sharks, marine turtles, and plankton.
Capt. Greg is also the SCUBA Instructor at Coastal Marine Bio Labs, a private, non-profit science education organization that provides innovative field and laboratory-based learning experiences for high school students. Under the mentorship of CMB scientists, students use many of the key technological cornerstones of modern scientific discovery to explore contemporary questions that lie at the frontiers of scientific knowledge. CMB is located in Ventura Harbor, Ventura CA.
